Jacqueline stopped as the phenomenon was happening and she stayed still for a while trying to understand what happened exactly.
Where those humanoids coming here willingly or not? And if not, could they be allies? What was that crash? Was one of them destroying everything?
The hope of them being possibly allies helped her to find the courage to run toward the place and follow her master. But she still kept alert as they could be the worst threat around as well…

The loud crash was caused by Inferno unceremoniously smashing through the castle's roof. Once he hits the floor, he snarls as he looks up to find Algol. However, while he can't see through the dust cloud created from the crash, he still sense his energy. He starts to roll away from the hole while using dust cloud as cover.
Algol stops himself midair as he looks over the crash site. He tries looking for Inferno, but he has trouble sensing him, probably through the combination of beating him up too hard and the cursed energies that shroud Ostrheinburg masking Inferno's energy.
Algol then promptly yells, "Show yourself, coward!"
Raphael and Jacqueline continue to make their way inside the castle ruins. So far, nothing of real interest sticks out at Raphael. Just deserted dusty hallways and rooms.

Jaqueline kept following her master while wondering what was happening. She had the feeling they should not be here. But she had that feeling since Raphael decided to come here...
Solnhofen quickly made his way toward the crash but he stopped dead when he noticed the strange looking man in midair. He also sensed the strong energy emanating from him and felt some fear; that man was very powerful.
So using his assassin skills, he quickly hid and observed the powerful man who was standing in midair seemingly waiting for his opponent to show up by taunting him. Who was his opponent? It seemed he had landed in some room and dust was still coming out from the windows, it really was a big crash...

As tempting as it was to come out to put Algol in his place, he knows that he was not in any position to do so. All he can do is just swallow his pride and hide it out.
After waiting few minutes, Algol huffed. He had other things he can be doing now, and he doesn't want to spend them waiting idlely. He then yells through the hole. "Fine... go hide like the worthless dog you are! You know I'll be back to take what's rightfully mine!"
And with that, he flies straight up back into the sky and through the Astral Gate, which closes right behind him.
Raphael at least thinks he's getting closer to the crash site. As he approaches the desired area, he feels that the evil energies are becoming more intense, even if it wasn't a very large increase...

Solnhofen stayed for a while looking at where the mysterious stranger disappeared, wondering who he was. He no doubt had ties to Soul Edge or Soul Calibur… But then the assassin turned his gaze toward the place where the opponent fell. He could feel the evil energy emanating from the place and he somehow wondered about the identity of the beaten creature. Could it be…? He carefully walked toward the place and called:
"M-Master? Are… are you there?"
The evil assassin was apprehensive of who it may be and also apprehensive if his master would be angry and humiliated to be seen in this state if it really was him. He didn't want to look himself that weak by asking his question on such a tone but whatever.
Jacqueline ran behind her master yet feeling the evil energy, she suddenly stopped; she couldn't go on, she wanted to go back home! But as Raphael was getting farther away, she finally began to run again after her small panic, her loyalty to her master was greater than her fear.

Once he longer detects Algol's presence, he starts to come out of the shadows of his hiding place. Solnhofen eventually sees his dark robe and boney profile slowly appear in the light. His emotionless gaze turns to his attention.
"Solnhofen, come with me. We need to head to the basement."
Raphael did not even notice Jacqueline's hesitation. A new opportunity has risen, so all he can think about is grasping it before it becomes lost. The presence is getting closer and closer...

"Yes, master." Answered the assassin who took back his normal hard expression as he slightly bowed to his master. He would not ask anything more of what happened or what Soul Edge intended to do now. Maybe Soul Edge will tell him more in the basement but it was not his right to ask. He only had to follow orders. ________________________________________
Jacqueline slowed down, she was exhausted.
"Master… pff… pff… Raphael… I can’t go on… for now… pff… pff… I’m… too tired…"
Seeing her master still running away, Jacqueline knew he didn’t understand her. Maybe it was for the best since he must not like her whining. But she took back her breath a little more and began again to run after him. Where does he find all that energy to run that fast and for so long? Must be his worries for his daughter… He was such a great father…

Raphael quickly stopped and turned to Jacqueline.
"Then you stay and rest if you need to. I, on the other hand, need to keep moving forward. I cannot rest until Amy returns safely to me."
He then looks forward again and keeps on the move. He doesn't care if Jacqueline can catch up or not. Only Amy matters to him, and he will sacrifice everything for her if he needs to.
However, not long after he soon finds himself face to face with Inferno and Solnhofen in a hallway. The energy is unmistakable, it's Soul Edge incarnate. He quickly draws Flambert and points it at the two. "YOU! Where is Amy?! Where did you take her?!"
Inferno then crosses his arms in thought as he looks over the noble. "Hm? Oh, it's that Sorel exile... hrm...."

Jacqueline was surprised by Raphael's words. He always was kinder than she was imagining. Somehow it also made her feel more guilty of letting him down. Yet she was so exhausted...
"Be careful master, I'll follow you soon. I'll just rest some times here... not for long..."
Jacqueline looked at her master going away and sighed. She hoped she would be able to find him again once he will be gone... She really wanted to help him...
As he was walking in the gallery with his master, Solnhofen heard foot steps running toward them so before the personn appeared before them, he unsheathed his rapier to confront whoever it was. It was a blond man who seemed surprised and angry to see them.
"YOU! Where is Amy?! Where did you take her?!"
Solnhofen raised an eyebrow. Amy? Was it that little girl Tira lost? wondered Solnhofen. He knew Tira had abducted a kid like the previous plan was, it was a little girl and undisciplined as Tira was, she lost her somewhere. Stupid Tira... Maybe it was that girl that this man was looking for... yet he would not speak about it. Unless Soul Edge asked him to. But Soul Edge didn't ask him and said:
"Hm? Oh, it's that Sorel exile... hrm...."
So they know each other, thought the assassin who suddenly felt the blond man was malfested. It must be when they met, Soul Edge and him... However, Inferno did not seem very interested to see him so the assassin asked his master:
"Should I kill him, master?"

Post by Admin Knight Durante on a few seconds ago Inferno slowly walked towards Raphael as he responded to Solnhofen. "No... in fact... he might prove to be useful to me..."
Raphael stood his ground as he twirled his Rapier. "WELL?! WHERE IS SHE?!
Inferno however wasn't in the least bit intimidated by Raphael as he continues to walk towards Raphael. Once Inferno got a little too close inside Raphael's personal space. Raphael swung his rapier at him, but Inferno bat his weapon to the side with his right arm and then grabbed his face with his boney hands.
Raphael exclaimed, "HANDS OFF OF ME!" However, Inferno suddenly turned into a formless shape of cursed energy and forced himself inside of Raphael's body.
Raphael screamed and struggled with his body as he was trying to resist the demon from within.

Jacqueline had rested enough and was now wondering where her master was. She suddenly heard some screaming but couldn’t figure where it was coming from and who exactly it was from. Was it Raphael screaming? But she had the feeling to hear some screaming echoing through the walls since she entered Osthreinsburg. Was it damned souls? That cursed place was so creepy and evil… So she ran in a direction and asked:
"Master? Master Raphael! Where are you? Please tell me!"
Those horrible echoes… She should never have let him go alone… She was now alone as well… and lost…
"… Master… Are you… okay? …Where are you? Please master! Please answer me!"
Solnhofen kept looking at Raphael who was struggling for his body. He knew what Soul Edge was trying to do but he couldn’t help his master in any way. Anyway, the assassin knew his master didn’t need any help. The Cursed sword had possessed so many people over time, this new one shouldn’t be a problem… Beside that man was already malfested, so already a part of Soul Edge… Already a slave… that he wished it or not…
But he suddenly heard a voice, some kind of annoying female voice… looking for someone… probably that man over here… Maybe he should go silence her… Maybe he should wait for her to get here and then kill her… But she seemed lost for the moment… It was kind of fun to hear her anguish… hers and that man's in front of him struggling hopelessly for his soul…

Raphael was unable to answer Jacqueline's plea due to his inner conflict for his sense of self. "GET OUT OF MY BODY!"
As Inferno peers into his soul, he starts seeing Raphael for what he truly is, his past, his present, and future ambition. "Huh, you were once head of the Sorel family? Too bad your family hates you now..."
"Stop looking into my soul!"
"Oh yes... I remember that fight... You only got lucky that one time... otherwise, you would've died like the rest..."
"Damn you, monster!"
However, Inferno is planning on something more than just mere possession. "Well, this body has some flaws... let's see if we can change that shall we?"
The cursed sword decides to rearrange his memories of his soul, keeping some of the memories that might be useful while erasing the more frivolous and wasteful ones. As Raphael clutches his head to resist, it only proves to be futile as Raphael screams in pain.
"Seriously, this Amy stuff needs to be gone and done..."
"NO! DON'T YOU DARE GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
As Raphael struggles to the end to keep that was dearest to his heart, he just blacks out and collapses onto the cold floor.

Feeling not the slightly bit of pity for the blond man, Solnhofen kept looking at Raphael struggling against Inferno. That was interesting, it was like killing him from the inside… Inferno seemed to be killing the very soul of his victim…
Jacqueline kept running in panic in the galleries. She was now more frantic. "Master! Raphael! Where are you?" Jacqueline thought that she really should not have let her master alone, she must have took a wrong turn or something to lose him like this… He would not be that far…
She is coming toward here… thought Solnhofen who anticipated her coming. Maybe he could first drink her blood before killing her… He wondered how pretty she was… Vampires always preferred pretty women… But if her voice matched her appearance, she must not be too pretty…

Not long after, Raphael starts to regain consciousness. As he groans and slowly gets back on his feet, he opens his eyes, which emit a fiery glow. It seems that Inferno did more than mere possession in this new vessel. No longer was he some pale vampire. His skin tone had a strange blue tint and his protruding vampire fangs were gone.
He then stretches out his hand and suddenly, Soul Edge in it's Zweihander form appeared in his hand in a burst of flame. He then uttered in a deep distorted voice, "Yes... this is it..."

After Raphael got up, Solnhofen stared at his master without a word but awe. He was fascinated by how Soul Edge could take control of people so easily and he forgot the woman running toward here until Jacqueline arrived not long after.
The maid stopped in surprise, seeing that Raphael was with a man and was holding an ugly large sword in his hands that she could feel was Soul Edge, probably. It did emit some power… Yes, it probably was Soul Edge… What happened? He gained it?
After some hesitation, still holding her weapons tightly, she walked toward Raphael while briefly glancing at Solnhofen with some questioning, that man didn’t seem hostile toward Raphael but who was he? He was staring at her strangely… She then asked Raphael since he was her primary concern:
"… M-Master? Are you… are you alright?"
The evil assassin was first thinking about jumping on her to drink her blood and kill her as he first intended but since he noticed that the malfested woman seemed to mistake Inferno for her master, he didn’t do a thing and waited for his master to order him to kill her or not.
