He was on a long journey that felt like an eternity. However, Dante welcomed it, the adventure was something that brought excitement into his soul. At the top of the ship stood Dante de la Espada, his blue eyes looked at the vast sea, it was soothing, the water crashing at his boat, the call of the birds, all of it brought a smile to Dante's face. As the sea breeze began to blow, Dante brushed his hair out of his vision. "Captain, land is approaching!" one of his crew members shouted.
Dante looked up and saw a city, the architecture was rather new to him. Curiosity squirmed in Dante's mind. A smile appeared on his face as he leaned on the railing in front of him, "Set sails towards it!" He commanded with a smirk, "Yes Captain!" The crew member obeyed and told the rest of the crew. As they made their sail Dante saw the city become larger with more people. He let out a gasp of awe as his eyes wandered around.
They had reached what was known as..."Athens" from what his crew told him. Dante had never seen such wonder! He turned to his crew and opens his arms with a bright smile, "Well be staying here tonight! We'll gather any supplies we can and then come back here and set sail!" Dante said in a kind voice. His crew let out an Aye, aye and they placed the ship at the docking area. Dante's crew went to find the closest inn to eat and drink.
Dante on the other hand was curious of this city. He wandered the streets dressed in his casual garb. Dante's eyes were watching where he was going however, and he bumped someone hard. Before they fell Dante caught them quickly, the scent and the silky texture of the person's skin gave off the impression that she was a woman. Dante looked at her with a sigh and a nervous smile, "Excuse me...my apologies for being so rude." He said as he let go of her and bowed lightly.
"This place is...intriguing." He said as he looked around, "Never have I come across such a place with a look of such history." Dante said as he glared at her with a smile, "Is it true...that this place is protected by the Gods?!" Though he hadn't seen Athens before...Dante knew of it's culture from the books he read. Dante was excited and didn't realized he had pulled the woman into a conversation.

Three years felt like a lifetime to a mother who had lost her child...
Sophitia Alexandra was on the pursuit after the woman who had kidnapped her eldest daughter, Pyrrha Alexandra. The Grecian mother had trekked almost the entire world after the bipolar assassin, however, she was nowhere to be found.
Sophitia had lost hope. Pyrrha could be dead for all she was aware of. Yet, another half of her believes that Pyrrha is still alive... she felt it in her heart and soul...
Returning home after three solid years of searching the globe, Sophitia breathed in the fresh Grecian air, swallowing the faint olive scent as she waltzed down the cobbled streets.
She had only wished Pyrrha could breathe in her homeland's air once again...
The Holy Warrior was on her way to visit the temple of Hephaestus, Eurydice Shrine, decked in a long blue dress, navy and teal blue fabric cascading over her legs, whilst a short cloak rested upon her shoulders. Her journey up to the shrine soon came to a temporary halt when she had collided head on with a man as far as she can see.
His eyes were wide with wonder and fascination of the city in which she called home.
"Excuse me...my apologies for being so rude."
"No, I'm sorry, it was my fault entirely..." Sophitia was rather distant, due to her deep contemplation about her daughter. She had ought to watch where she was treading.
"This place is...intriguing. Never have I come across such a place with a look of such history. Is it true...that this place is protected by the Gods?!"
Sophitia smiled softly at the young man's curiosity. "Yes, the entirety of Greece is protected by the gods... Athens is protected by Hephaestus*."
Looking up at Eurydice Shrine, the Grecian mother smiled back at the young man. "If you are interested in our culture, I can take you up to the shrine if you would like. I was on my way up there myself.
*In reality, Athens is protected by the goddess of wisdom and war, Athena. In Soul Calibur, Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge, is the god who is worshipped in Athens.

"Would you kindly?!" He asked with a small bow. He jumped for a moment and then glared off into space, "I almost forgot..." He said to himself as he rubbed his chin. He turned to Sophitia and took a formal bow, "I am Dante de la Espada, I hail from the Spanish Empire." He said in a gentle tone of voice. "I stopped my sails to come and rest here. My men have taken refuge here until the morning." He said as he folded his arms over his chest and looked at the blue skies with a bright smile.
"I'm glad we did stop or I wouldn't be able to see such a fascinating city..." He said in an excited voice, he turned to Sophitia and glanced at her with a nervous smile, realizing that he was rambling, "Of course...I almost forgot, please lead the way to this shrine." Dante said as he stepped side and allowed her to guide him her shrine of worship.

"Would you kindly?! I almost forgot... I am Dante de la Espada, I hail from the Spanish Empire." "It is lovely to meet you... I'm Sophitia Alexandra." The Grecian mother had paused for a brief moment to consider where the man had come from. "The Spanish Empire... you must be exhausted..!" The Spanish Empire was where Sophitia had travelled years ago, on her quest to destroy Soul Edge. The Spanish Empire was where Sophitia had encountered Cervantes and shattered one half of the demonic sword, Soul Edge...
She wondered whether it had still existed... she had yet to ask Hephaestus. The Holy Warrior was far more concerned about her daughter than a mere sword.
"I stopped my sails to come and rest here. My men have taken refuge here until the morning. I'm glad we did stop or I wouldn't be able to see such a fascinating city..."
Sophitia, chuffed at the compliment of her home town, thanked Dante for his kindness. "Thank you... we do take pride in our town. Athens is indeed a beautiful city..."
"Of course...I almost forgot, please lead the way to this shrine."
The Holy Warrior realized that she had forgotten to lead him to the shrine, apologizing shortly before swiftly leading him to the foot of the shrine stairs. Gargantuan, marble steps spiraled their way up to the pinnacle of the rocky hill, almost resembling a mountain from their view, clouds encircling the peak.
Sophitia turned to the Spaniard with an uneasy, apologetic smile. "I'm sorry... the stairs can be fairly difficult to overcome to those who venture up there for the first time..." Sophitia laughed lightly, recalling a memory of her past, when she was eighteen, and her sister, Cassandra, was fifteen. Sophitia persuaded Cassandra to trek up to the shrine with her one day, however, after the first few hundred stairs, Cassandra refused to take another step. "My sister had refused to go up to the shrine since her first visit due to the stairs..."

"Nonsense, adventure is never tiring...! Your sister sounds pretty boring!" Dante said as he walked up the steps in anticipation with a bright smile on his face. He just couldn't wait to get up there and see what kind of God they worshiped. Dante saw these long steps, but that didn't dissolve his curiosity. He was probably going a big too fast of a pace with each of his steps as he continued to climb these steps to the shrine.
"What wonders could be awaiting?! If Orgullo could see--" He stopped himself from saying his brother's name and continued to walk. His eyes were sharp at the mention of his brother Orgullo, not forgetting his real quest. Dante had to find his brother to see what he had deserted his rank back home. Did he have something to find?! What was it that made him run off so soon...?
Dante wanted to know the answers to all of this, but for the time being he didn't want to think about it. His focus was on the shrine which was closer. He stopped at the gates and looked at them, he must have gotten here faster than he thought. The statues, the placement, the ivory pillars, and the sculptures of the God...Dante's mouth opened in awe as he did a small spin. "Magnificent."

Sophitia had taken the lead soon after Dante had eagerly agreed to climb the extensive amount of stairs, the marble pinging beneath their feet as they ascended to the heavens. Her attention to the Spaniard was caught when he mentioned a certain 'Orgullo', however, the crestfallen look upon his face in which appeared soon after had implied for her not to pry about who this man was.
The Grecian mother and the Spanish adventurer had soon set foot onto the heavenly tiles of Eurydice Shrine, the sun glistening down onto the white, crystalline marble. Clear blue water cascaded down stairs further up from the shrine up to what appeared to be a building in the clouds. Dante spun around to observe the marvel whilst Sophitia set down her weapons in front of Colossus.
"It is beautiful, isn't it...?" Sophitia smiled softly at Dante, "I visit the shrine everyday... you feel connected with the gods here."
The Holy Warrior wandered back towards Dante in question. "What brings you to Athens?"

Dante nods his head at her words, then heard her ask him a valid question, he looks at her with a soft smile "Like I said, I come from the Empire. I've set sail on a journey, mainly to find adventure and make a name for myself across the seas." Dante said as he walked around slowly in an observing pace. "I came here after seeing this wonderful city. A man of adventure shouldn't pass up an opportunity to visit lands such as this." He said with a chuckle.
"Traveling these seas, you run into interesting things. I happened to run into this place and...I met a very beautiful woman..." Dante said in a cheerful tone and turned to Sophitia with a warm smile. "What more could I ask for?"

Sophitia listened to the Spaniard's tales of his journey with intrigue. She had travelled herself, of course, although, her ventures felt heartbreaking from every step she took, whilst Dante's adventures seemed to bring joy to his day through every blink of his eye.
The Grecian mother blushed slightly at the comment, about to reply, until a voice had called from above...
Sophitia... You have returned.
Sophitia's gaze held her hands to her chest, briefly gazing at Dante, the look hinted at him to follow her. Situating herself in the centre of her shrine, Sophitia knelt before the godly voice booming down onto her.
"Yes, Hephaestus... I have returned home. I have been unsuccessful in my search in finding my daughter... please forgive me for my failure."
As soon as Sophitia shot her gaze up to the heavens above to address her god however, she had spotted another being, perched atop of a pillar which towered over her and Dante. Sensing this person as an immediate threat, Sophitia seized her sword and shield from the tiled floor and pointed her blade at the creature above.
"Who are you?"

Despitethe apparent hostility, the creature had confronted her without a sense of wanting a fight, and so the Grecian mother had lowered her sword, yet she maintained a firm grip on its hilt... just in case.
A low hiss was the reply to Sophitia's question. Due to the codpiece binding his mouth, the Holy Warrior knew that this man was unable to speak, and therefore apologized for her ignorance. "I'm sorry, however, I must ask what you are doing here."
There was no other way to retrieve answers, other through Hephaestus. Sophitia prayed that the god watching over her was able to understand the peculiar man's uncomprehendable speech.

Voldo, tell her my name is Voldo! I need her to help me. Will she give me the information I seek?
The god of forge and fire glanced down at the internally begging creature, before referring himself to Sophitia.
This warrior is named Voldo...
Hephaestus then focused his attention back onto Voldo once again. And what information do you wish to seek, blind one?
Meanwhile, Sophitia shot her glance between Voldo, Dante, and up at the statue of Hephaestus, her thoughts filled with intrigue and confusion. What could Voldo possibly want from her?

Sophitia's daughter. I must track down the one who took her. What is the girl's name - and what does she look like? I have no intention of hurting her daughter, for it is her captor I wish to see. If Sophitia tells me what she knows, in return, I will see to it that her daughter comes to no harm - I swear it. Perhaps I could aid her in her search, for no doubt she must be looking for her child, too.
Hephaestus then relayed Voldo's message directly to the Grecian mother, The blind one wishes that to help you find your daughter, Sophitia, however, do not fret, he is not after your child, but rather, the one who has kept her hostage. He offers to become an aid in your quest for your daughter, in exchange for information of her captive and your child.
Sophitia's eyes glistened with gratitude at the offer, however, she was still wary of the situation. She decided to overlook her doubts and proceed in answering Voldo's question: "My daughter is named Pyrrha Alexandra... she is very young... she has curly blonde hair, and green-blue eyes such as my own... and freckles over her cheeks." Sophitia glanced to the floors of Eurydice Shrine, her face forlorn, "I have been searching for my daughter for three years, yet I have failed to find her and her captor."
Sophitia's eyes darkened some on the subject of Pyrrha's kidnapper. "Her captor is young woman with a ring blade. Her attire and hair colour changes often, so I am unaware of what her appearance is currently, however, I am aware that she was wearing red and green, and had deep brown hair, the last time we had encountered."

Where did Sophitia last meet the woman? Would it not be wise to go back there and look for any clues to her current whereabouts that may have been left behind? How were they to communicate if they left this place?
The blind one asks where you had last met this woman, Sophitia, and to suggest searching for traces of her.
"I had last seen her at Osrheinsburg, although I had prioritized my search around those parts, and was unsuccessful in finding her. The castle in which she once resided is in ruin..."
In answer to Voldo's last question, Hephaestus had bellowed out, Kneel forth, Sophitia.
The Grecian mother, under the god's command, had scurried over to the colossal statue, collapsing to the floor, one knee resting on the marble whilst her other knee remained high, her head lowered to the god of forge and fire. At that moment, a light breeze flew through the shrine, darting in between the ivory pillars, flowing through Sophitia's hair, entangling itself into her blonde locks, before it faded. The Holy Warrior raised her head up to the statue of Hephaestus with a inquisitive gaze.
I have given you the ability to comprehend the blind one without my assistance... what you do from here is up to you to decide, Holy Warrior... I wish you well.
And with that, the god's presence dissolved into the warm air...

It is getting late, is it not? Perhaps we should both retire for the evening - unless, of course, you would rather stay? I understand our meeting was... sudden. If I were you I would still be slightly curious, to say the least.
Sophitia smiled softly, now able to listen to Voldo's voice, which was surprisingly calm in comparison to his intimidating hisses. "Do not worry, I have learned not to rest since my daughter had been taken from me..."
Nevertheless, no doubt you have a home to go back to. If you are intent on us aiding each other still, come back here tomorrow at dawn. We will discuss our journey here in the Shrine. Will that suit you?
The Grecian mother nodded in agreement, before offering to Voldo, "I do intend on visiting my sister before we depart... perhaps you would like to retire at my residence for dinner? It is the least I can do for assisting my search for my daughter."
Sophitia, being a kind hearted woman, would like to offer any opportunity to thank those who help her, and a blind, speechless man was no exception.

I would be honoured.
The Holy Warrior was mildly surprised that Voldo had accepted her offer; he was much kinder than he appeared to be. Beneath the hisses and mouthpieces was a much more caring person, which Sophitia much appreciated.
"Then so be it! If you would follow me, I shall have dinner prepared for all of us!"
With a warming smile, Sophitia had beckoned Voldo over to follow her out of Eurydice Shrine, down the extensive marble staircase, and down the path in the direction of her beloved home...

The Spirit Sword had thus led the Wolfkrone Princess and her army to the land in which Sophitia Alexandra was said to have resided... Athens, Greece. It was here where the Alexandra would return to pay her respects to the god Hephaestus... this is most likely where she will stand.
The moonlight coated the marble of Eurydice Shrine by the time Elysium and Hilde had arrived on the mountain peak...
However, there was no being to be found...
Soul Calibur had faced her followers with a blank, emotionless expression. "She shall come. She will be able to sense our presence, and thus, the Holy Warrior shall come crawling to our feet."[avatar]http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/5402/rosafarrell124x275.jpg[/avatar]
