Hilde watched with disappointment as one of the warriors with Sophitia left them. She wasn’t able to follow his conversation with Elysium but she sensed that he had too much disagreement to join them—and he left.
Sophitia said, "We should all stay at my living. There is enough room for all of us I'm sure, even for your army."
Hilde gave a small bow in respect, “We are grateful for your accommodations, Lady Sophitia.”

As the three of them set off, Durante asked the locals where the Eurydice Shrine was and Berach consulted his maps. To his surprise, it wasn't located at Mt. Olympus but rather down in Greece's south western region of Messenia. With this new information, the group travels down southwestward. After days of traveling, they finally reach there they think their destination is given that the mountain would have a two shrines built upon it, one Eurydice Shrine built by Hephaestus and the other Eurydice Shrine built by man. Thankfully there is a pathway and some stairs that leads to the shrines so there won't be any intensive mountain climbing. It turns out hiking in armor can get pretty damned tiring.
Along the way, they pass the Eurydice Shrine Gallery, the shrine built by humans, and a very strange katar wielding blind man, walking down the mountain with a bad mood. Durante thought the guy was really strange, but he decided to leave him alone and continue onward. After some time and a few breaks, they finally reached the shrine built by Hephaestus. Durante didn't even pause to look at the marvelous structure, though Berach took some time to admire the architecture, running his hand along the pillars and the murals, silent as he contemplates them. Durante, however, went straight to the point and shouted. "Hephaestus! I seek..." He stopped in mid sentence when he noticed at the three weren't alone in the shrine. There were two Greek blonde beauties, a red headed princess knight complete with an army, and another blonde woman giving off a strange aura. "Umm... sorry. Am I interrupting you ladies with something?" Durante's outburst took Berach by surprise, and he turned to look at the audience. Ah. How rude of him, to jump straight into his passions right away and ignore the presence of several women. He ceased his admirations at once, standing over by Durante's side and bowing lightly.
"Sorry about that. We didn't know this place was occupied."

It took them three days to reach the shrine. During the time, they passed by the Eurydice Shrine gallery and a strange blind man passing along who seemed to be troubled.
Upon arriving at the shrine, Siegfried noticed that Bearch started to admire the architecture of the structure. After all, he did wanted to see how it looked like and from what material it was made from. That was his reason he tagged along with them.
"Hephaestus!" yelled the black armored knight. "I seek..." For some reason, Durante stopped. Siegfried then noticed that he was looking at somewhere else. Curious, the German knight decided to look as well at where he was looking.
To his surprise, Siegfried saw a group of women inside the shrine with them. Upon surveying them, Siegfried recognized three of them. The Holy Warrior he was seeking, the woman who followed him three years ago on his way to Ostrheinsburg, who quite looked like the Holy Warrior and the red headed female knight, Hilde whom he sworn his allegiance to.
Upon seeing Hilde, Siegfried immediately approached her, pointed requiem towards the ground while slowly lowering it and knelt on to one knee. "You're Majesty..." said the knight.

"We should all stay at my living. There is enough room for all of us I'm sure, even for your army. We welcome anyone, isn't that right Cassandra?" asked her older sister.
"Yeah, I'm sure our home will be big enough for all of us..." said the young Greek.
With that, it was decided that they would stay at the Alexandra's house for the night but as they talked, Cassandra noticed Voldo running in the opposite direction of the group. It seemed as though, he cannot stand being with Elysium.
With his departure, Cassandra felt a hint of sadness within her. After all, it was sad to see an acquaintance, an ally and a friend to leave.
Sueddenly, they heard a voice of a man shouting inside the shrine. Hephaestus, I seek... Immediately, she turned towards the direction of the voice. Upon looking, she saw three men.
She then noticed the men bowing down their heads, trying to apologize for the commotion that they had caused except for one of them. Instead of bowing, he approached them slowly, particularly Hilde, stabbed his sword to the ground and knelt down.
You're Majesty" said the man.
She then turned to Hilde. "Hey, are they your soldiers as well?" asked Cassandra.

As Cassandra and Sophitia started to lead the way back to their home, Hilde was startled along with the others as they heard a male voice yell, “Hephaestus, I seek—”
She quickly turned towards the source of the loud voice when she saw the face of one she didn’t expect to see.
“Siegfried...!” she gasped as she covered her mouth with both hands. She had been wanting—no, longing to be exact—to find this man and it was the reason she sent Gerhilde on a special mission. She had so many things to tell him as well as questions to inquire. Though a man mired by a difficult and dark past, she held such high regards of him that she offered him so much help during his last campaign with Nightmare. During those times that she got to know him, she got more than an ally—she obtained a person whom she could trust.
A friend.
She missed his presence so much: his quiet demeanour, his determination, his strength, but most of all, the familiarity she felt when she was with him.
She wasn’t able to utter a word as he approached him slowly. Reverently. Her hands lingered, covering her mouth agape. Then, he plunged his sword to the ground and knelt before her as he uttered the words: “Your majesty...”
She shook her head as words refused to come out of her mouth. She knelt in front of him, grabbed his shoulders and hugged him tightly as a young child embracing someone familiar and comforting at the rumbles and peals of thunder. She forgot the presence of everyone surrounding her. It was one of the rare moments that she allowed herself to be seen vulnerable. And during these moments, she was so absorbed with the emotions that burst out of her that she was conscious to none of those.
Amidst her sobs and sniffs, she said with a voice tinier than what she was known to have, “Where have you been all these years...? I have so much wanted to see you? I have so much to tell you. I needed you, you know! I needed you. You owe me that after I’ve helped you three years ago!”
Though her tone was accusing, she could not express in any way the comfort of his familiar sight.

Well. This was interesting.
In just one trip, they'd all accomplished what they'd wanted to. Well, except for Durante, he'd kind of gotten the short end of the stick--hard to talk with gods with all the commotion going on. But, still, they'd interrupted something important, gotten with an army, and now the knight and his lady were finally back together, in tears and in each others' arms. Oh yeah, they were totally hooking up.
Still. A man never caused an inconvenience to others with his arrival, and here he'd broken that cardinal rule. Who knows what they'd been doing before he barged in with the grace of a monkey riding an elephant. Perhaps they were an army, discussing important strategic matters important to their kingdom. Perhaps they were a group of long-lost friends, finally reuniting after years of hardship, torment, and separation. Perhaps they were rivals in a competition of some kind, hoping to best one another on a field of their choice. Or perhaps they were simply following the traditional way of the Grecians and having an orgy arranging hospitalities.
He stepped forward, giving the two knights a wide berth so that they could continue their reunion, then took off his helmet and bowed again to the two ladies. "My name is Berach. I'm sorry again for the intrusion. I hope we didn't interrupt anything, did we?"

As Siegfried knelt down, he bowed his head to face the ground. He was unable to look at Hilde straight in the eyes because he felt guilt for leaving her three years ago without even saying goodbye.
Suddenly, Siegfried noticed Hilde's shadow was slowly getting closer towards him, By that time, he expected for the princess to shun him away, punch him in the face, or just simply tell him to go away and never show his face to her ever again but what Hilde did next caught the knight off guard.
She knelt down with him, wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his pauldron. Afterwards, Siegfried could hear her weeping, like a child embraces his father after being gone from home for so long. Siegfried couldn't stand her crying. The last thing he wanted was for her to shed tears because of him. He felt so disgusted with himself. Why did he left her after everything she's done for him? Why did he tried so hard just to isolate himself from her?
A lot of questions kept appearing on Sigfried's head. But one thing is clear to him. "It's all my fault. I've hurt yet another important person in my life." said the knight to himself.
His thoughts were then interrupted when Hilde started to talk to him. "Where have you been all these years...? I have so much wanted to see you? I have so much to tell you. I needed you, you know! I needed you. You owe me that after I’ve helped you three years ago!"
Siegfried then placed his hands on her shoulders. "I'm sorry for leaving you Hilde. I... I just felt that... I don't deserve the kindness that you showed me after everything that I've done especially to you, your kingdom and... your father..."

Though Cassandra tried to whispered something to Hilde, she didn't gave her a respond. Instead, he approached the knight kneeling down in front of her. What she did next, surprised the young Greek.
She knelt down with him and gave him a warm embrace. It seems as though he is more than just a bodyguard to her and it looks like they have been apart for a very long time. She didn't bother to ask her again. She didn't want to interrupt their reunion.
Suddenly, a man stepped in from with some distance from the two knights. "My name is Berach. I'm sorry again for the intrusion. I hope we didn't interrupt anything, did we?" said the man, who seemed ashamed of himself for barging in without giving any care if there was someone in.
She then approached him. "My name is Cassandra Alexandra. It's nice to meet you Kirios (Mr.) Bearch. And don't worry about it. We were just about to leave actually. But may I ask what is your purpose in this sacred place?"

Hilde distanced her face from the comfort of his shoulder and looked directly at his eyes, her hands on his shoulders. “What have you done to our kingdom? You have saved it from ultimate destruction! You have prevented my people from perishing! It is not your fault that we live destitute and homeless—Soul Edge and Nightmare did that to us. And you’ve stopped them. For that I owe you what I’ve sworn to give you: my allegiance and friendship.”
She emphasized her words further with a shake of his shoulders with her hands grasping them. “Siegfried, you are my friend and you are very dear to me. How can I but show kindness to you? My father is no more and I don’t have anybody to hold on. Being a princess is both a duty and a curse to me. I can’t stand it if I were to do it alone. Please, could you return your favor by standing by my side once again, even for just a little while more?”
Her eyes pleaded earnestly, boring through his. The tears were gone from them but her voice could not hide the strained emotions that she bore through the years.

Upon hearing Hilde's words, Siegfried couldn't help but see himself in her place. Both of them were without parents and without their guidance. But still, he still cannot get over the fact that he was the one responsible for her loss.
His thoughts were then interrupted when the princess placed her hands in his shoulders and grasped them firmly.
"Siegfried, you are my friend and you are very dear to me. How can I but show kindness to you? My father is no more and I don’t have anybody to hold on. Being a princess is both a duty and a curse to me. I can’t stand it if I were to do it alone. Please, could you return your favor by standing by my side once again, even for just a little while more?” said Hilde.
He then looked her in the eyes. They looked like the tears have been wiped off from them, replaced by hope. Hope that the knight would return to her side once again.
A lot of thoughts collided within his mind. Will he refuse her request because of the past or will he accept it and move on?
After a while, Siegfried stood up and lend his hand towards Hilde, helping her to get up. He then gently paced his hand in her cheek and caressed it. "I will... I promise... I will never leave you again... I'll protect you from any harm that may come your way... even if it cost me my life... That's how much you mean to me... and this is the least I can do to show you how grateful I am for everything you've done for me...."

Hilde closed her eyes as she leaned her head on his hand. She felt its comforting warmth and roughness. It held a powerful blade to vanquish his enemies. Though it was not smooth, its character showed strength which she could lean on.
“Thank you, Siegfried. I knew I could count on you.”
She took his hand into hers from her face and squeezed it, showing her affection to him. It was good to have a friend. It was good that though she carried the weight of her nation on her back, there was someone she knew that would coax and encourage her.
“Now tell me where you have been all these years. Come, update me of what you’ve been doing,” she said. Afterwards, she laughed upon noticing herself. “I’m sorry! I am so used with having to play princess in front of all that I forgot how to be casual with people I know well. But I’m awfully hungry to know your story because I want to know what Siegfried has been doing during the times I haven’t set my eyes on my dear friend.”

This was the first time that Siegfried saw Hilde laughing. She seemed naive but at the same time, he finds her beautiful when she is happy. He then placed his hand on his head, rubbing his golden mane, trying to remember the actions he did during those years.
"Where do I start? Three years ago, after I left, I went back to my homeland of Ober - Getzenburg to visit my mother... But when I arrived there, I found out that she already passed away. I then decided to go back to Wolfkrone and join you. Before I left, some of my old gang members found me and decided to go with me. But when we got there, a citizen came to us and said that you went on a quest to find a way to restore your kingdom to its former glory. We then went back to our land and reestablish the Schwartzwind. Since then, new member started to join us and soon after, we became an army of mercenaries whose sole purpose was to maintain the peace and tranquility throughout our lands. Earlier this year, I've heard a news that you were looking for Soul Calibur. It made me think why did you want it for and if it was already fully restored. I then decided to look for you and help you in your quest, leaving my army behind. I traveled first at Ostrheinsburg because it was the last place I knew where Soul Calibur was. Moments after, I encountered two of your bodyguards... They told me that you traveled towards Greece with the entity of Soul Calibur searching for a Holy Warrior. I then went towards its direction and met those two (pointing at Bearch and Durante.). And finally, we traveled here." explained the knight.

Hilde nodded as he told a brief summary of his three years. A gang of warriors, he had said, a mercenary group to fight for peace and security. She wondered if he would let his army join hers...
As soon as he finished his account, she couldn’t help noticing his serious face and the dull tone of his voice with hardly any inflection. It was like he was giving an annual report about the crops of the field after an uneventful year. Again, she found it hard to suppress her giggle and she laughed once again.
“Your overly grave demeanour makes you sound like my financial advisor,” she said in between her laughs. “Oh, how I missed that serious face of yours, you know! Unlike my advisors, yours is very comforting and amusing at the same time. And it was a very fine summary you gave there of your three years.”
As her laugh died down, her face shifted from her sunny disposition to a thoughtful one. “Siegfried, that army of yours which you say fights for peace and tranquillity...”
She had just asked him a favor and she feared that she was pushing too much in their friendship...
These are hard times, she reminded herself. Again, she recomposed her thoughts.
“Right now, we are preparing for battle as we speak. The two women that you met, Siegrun and Waltraut, went back on my orders to prepare my people for another battle which would eclipse what we have fought in the past. I think there is no greater danger and threat to peace than Soul Edge. You saw how it ravaged our land and killed my people. As soon as we get back from Greece, I shall meet them to make final preparations before finding and fighting the evil sword.”
She paused as she thought of what she would say next.
“But knowing the power of Soul Edge and the number of its minions, my army is not enough. I know I just asked you for a favor but these are hard and desperate times. You say that your army fights for peace. Right now, peace will only be obtained by destroying that sword. Please, I beg of you to let them join our ranks. We are in dire need of support and any help we could get is much needed. I’m asking both as a friend and as a leader of my people suggesting an alliance with yours.”

"A beautiful name for a beautiful woman, Cassandra. It suits you well." As she approached, he nodded down at her with a smile and slid his helmet to under his cape to hang off his harness. His height practically drenched her in his shadow--a sight he never got tired of. But pleasantries like that would have to wait. "All of us had a few different reasons for coming." He waved his hand between himself, Durante, and Siegfried. "The knight in black, Durante, came to request a holy sword from Hephaestus, but I now suspect is a little foiled due to the company here. The knight in white, Siegfried, came to find a holy warrior, but now I suspect is a little foiled due to finding an old friend. And I came here because..."
He paused for a minute, looking back around the shrine. Simply beautiful.
"I suppose you could say I'm a wanderer. I simply go around the world, without any clear direction of what to do or where to head next. When I came here to Greece, though...well. There were things I simply had to see. And then when the gentleman Durante said he was going to get a holy sword from a god, a direct sign of intervention from heaven to Earth? Well. That I definitely had to see."
He paused for a moment once again. Soul Edge. Nightmare. Both the knights had mentioned this at length just now, and Durante mentioned it in the bar. For several mentions of it in such close proximity, by completely unrelated people, apparently it had to be more than just a simple bar rumor. "Forgive me for this, but...if I may be horribly nosy and pry into business that's none of my own, I assume you all are here due to this...'Soul Edge'?"

Siegfried somehow felt confused on why was Hilde laughing at his seriousness and how come she compares him to an adviser. Seeing that it was going to nowhere, the knight simply ignored it.
On what the knight had told her, Hilde somehow got fond of the army that Siegfried had formed over the years. “Siegfried, that army of yours which you say fights for peace and tranquillity...”
"Yes, they are... Before, The Swhwarzwind used to be a band of thieves led by me, raiding cowardly knights who ran off their crusades. But after an accident ten years ago, we disbanded until now." explained the knight.
Hilde then paused for a while, syncing into her mind what the knight had said. After a while, She told him about the two women he met at Ostrheinsburg and why she sent them back to Wolfkrone. She paused again, worried about what she will say next.
I’m asking both as a friend and as a leader of my people suggesting an alliance with yours.” requested the princess with an unsure tone.
Siegfried then placed his hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eyes. "Hilde, as I've said a while ago, looking for you and helping you was the reason I've left my army. They know the reason why I left and they know very well of the threat that Soul Edge posses... They also know about my past, what I became during those times and what I did about it. Sitll, they look up to me. I've never said this a while ago but before the army was formed, the gang wanted to join me in going to Wolfkrone, hoping to join your ranks. So practically, we wanted to be your allies at the first place." said the knight with a small smile. An expression he haven't done in a long time.
