Setsuka took a sip of her tea.
"Humm... It is delicious indeed. You really should open a business!"

[avatar]http://www.unikgamer.com/characters/face/kilik-761.jpg[/avatar] Kilik looked at Setsuka and smiled at her for her comment. He couldn’t agree all the more. He turned to Edge Master and added with a chuckle:
“I didn’t know how much I missed your tea until I tasted it. You should teach me your secrets in making it as part of your training for me.”

Edge Master takes a sip and then gives off a warm smile.
"I'm glad you both like it. However, I don't think starting a business is my sort of thing. Not to mention I quite like living in the tranquil outdoors rather than in the noisy city. Then again, a friend of mine did open a weapons shop at the foot of this mountain..."
After Kilik suggested he teach him how he makes tea, he gives him an evil look, piercing into his eyes and speaks in a serious tone.
"And why's that? So you can start a tea business using my secrets?"

"And why's that? So you can start a tea business using my secrets?"
Setsuka chuckled at the reply since she knew Edgemaster was joking. But she said:
"But you have a friend at the foot of the mountain with a shop, you could sometimes organize some special event to taste your tea where you would sell it to customers."
She then got serious.
"But indeed with all that is happening now, I don't think selling tea is the first of your priorities. I am glad to have tasted such rarety then. But what are you intending to do about the human-incarnate swords now, Edgemaster-san?"

[avatar]http://www.unikgamer.com/characters/face/kilik-761.jpg[/avatar] Kilik laughed with Setsuka at Edge Master’s mock anger and reproach. However, as their female companion turned serious, he switched himself towards the tone she started.
“It needs to be destroyed once and for all,” he declared, brows knitting together as he felt the gravity within his words.

Edge Master thinks to himself, reflecting upon the soul swords stories and experiences of the past. He then speaks after gathering his thoughts together.
"I don't think it would be that easy to destroy their human forms. By that, I mean even if they are defeated, there is still a chance for them to return. I do recall something similar occurred. Some years ago, the pirate, Cervantes de Leon, wield Soul Edge, but he was struck down. Afterwards, his corpse was entirely possessed by Soul Edge itself, covering his body in hellfire. That form was also beaten by a youth named Siegfried and Soul Edge still returns. Therefore regarding permanent solutions, I can't give you answer."

Setsuka then asked:
"Then to destroy them only temporary, is there something we can do? I suppose I'm wrong since they are even more powerful in human form but I always keep thinking they must be easier to destroy... Maybe their human apparence makes them more fragile in my eyes..."
But Setsuka knew she should never underestimate the soul swords...

Edge Master took a sip of tea before replying.
"I can only figure is that their human form just leaves them unchecked and they can do whatever they want without a host potentially restraining them. Like in ages past, it would be more beneficial to help Soul Calibur defeat Soul Edge, but we must keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't do anything too extreme that would hurt us people."

"Indeed they may look more fragile but they are so much more able to do anything... much more independant..."
After a moment of thought, Setsuka added:
"So we should find Soul Calibur, help it against Soul Edge then try to become close to convince Soul Calibur to not be too hard in its justice?"
Setsuka thought her proposition to become close must be quite stupid... But then maybe the sword could listen...

"Well, you could try that, but I doubt it will change it's mind since these swords are quite stubborn. After all, they haven't disappeared after all this time. It would be better to err on the side of caution by preparing to stop it if it turns against us."
In Edge Master's mind, he remembers that he has always looked after the three sacred treasures and using them to fight Soul Edge whenever it's evil influence arises, so he's very familiar to the nature of the soul swords and how they worked. Even if Soul Calibur was a holy sword, it's evil origin could end up causing trouble if it was not controlled properly.

Setsuka seemed to hesitate for a while before she suddenly said:
"You know, I think it's a completely crazy idea but can the human form of Soul Edge and Soul Calibur be chained? What if they were chained by the other? I mean, there is some Soul Edge shards around, we could take then and make a chain with it and chain Soul Calibur while we could find Soul Calibur shards and make a chain for Soul Edge. I just thought sometimes special creatures need special treatment like in the Viking mythology, they took the terrible wolf Fenrir's intestines to chain the evil god Loki. Maybe we wouldn't have to chain Soul Calibur but we could try for Soul Edge... Yet maybe it's a completely stupid idea if so, forget what I just said."

[avatar]http://www.unikgamer.com/characters/face/kilik-761.jpg[/avatar] “She has a point,” Kilik said. “If they can’t be destroyed permanently, perhaps there is a way to chain them and seal them so that they will not do any harm anymore.”
Kilik looked about the room as he paused to think. “The best way to find a solution for the two swords would be to seek more knowledge about it. Perhaps we could start about its origin.”
He turned to Edge Master and asked, “Master, perhaps you would know someone or some place where we could gather knowledge about them?”

The hermit shook his head.
"I doubt the shard chain idea would work. I have a feeling that if that would happen, the swords could either easily break the chain or convert those shards into it's own power and absorb that."
He then crossed his arms.
"There are a few times where there are attempts to seal them, but the problem is that those seals can be broken."
He raises one arm to stroke his beard.
"You know of Zasalamel, Kilik, but as I said, he probably won't be much of help to you. There is an alchemist named Ivy who's doing research on the soul swords. It's rather interesting from what I hear at least. Plus... there's that man..."

[avatar]http://www.unikgamer.com/characters/face/kilik-761.jpg[/avatar] Kilik squinted his eyes thoughtfully. “I’ve encountered both Zasalamel and Ivy. Zasalamel is very tricky and doesn’t disclose well with what he knew. He is very mysterious as well. I’ve heard that he doesn’t die. I wonder, if the rumors are true, if he lived long enough to know the origin of the sword.
“Ivy, the woman from the west with a mystical sword that elongates at her will. The last I’ve seen of her was when Xianghua and I were on our first quest to destroy Soul Edge. She was one of Nightmare’s allies. If she is still with him, we would probably encounter Nightmare and his group. I think it is too great a risk to resort to her as well.
What about the other man that you knew of, master?”

Setsuka listened with interest about the descriptions Kilik made of Zasalamel and Ivy. Indeed it would be good to have allies but those two don't seem too trustworthy... The other man... Edgemaster had talked to her about Siegfried but she had the feeling it was another man this time. She looked at Edgemaster with an inquiring gaze, saying nothing and waiting for his answers.
