Hopping off the boat, Zwei gave the girl back her bonnet and said in a easy-going voice, "Hey, careful about that. Wouldn't want such a nice bonnet to get wet do we?" He crossed his arms and looked at her snow white hair and red eyes, knowing at once that she was a malfested. His sea blue eyes closed slightly as his brows wrinkled while he looked at her before dropping his gaze to the covered object in her arms. Sensing the powers from it, he smirked. So this was what he was sensing all this time.
Towering over the petite girl, he tilted his head and said, "No need to be afraid. I'm one of you." [avatar]http://oi48.tinypic.com/34pfl1h.jpg[/avatar]

Without any rest, Ludovigo ran where the Dampierre and co. Business was located. It was out of the question that he goes back to his lonely appartment while a vampire was stalking him!
Yet before he went to the door, he gazed around to see if the vampire had followed him since he didn’t want to lead him to their headquarter.
But once inside, one servant told him Lord Dampierre was out for the moment. As were Gisele and Alphard. Ludovigo thought it was annoying since he wondered where they were and worried for them. They were the only persons he really cared about and they were all away… He hoped they would not meet the vampire…
He slumped on a chair and tried to calm down. But he kept having this image of the vampire’s demonic red eyes as he grabbed his arm… His fangs…
He tried to think about what to do. If I tell the guards there’s a vampire around, they’ll think I’m crazy, if they don’t arrest me for my other crimes… Should I fight the vampire myself ? No… I’m not that crazy… But he now wondered: Did he really saw a vampire ? Here in Venice? Now tired by his long night, Ludovigo wondered if he did not hallucinate… But he knew it was real… He still felt the powerful grip of the vampire on his arm… And monsters such as these were possible… Even if not common, magic things and creatures existed… Soul Edge and Nightmare existed… His own magic sword existed… Those things about malfested existed… But just that here, in Venice, a vampire… That was hard to believe… Well, mostly surprising… But even if it existed, a vampire was still a vampire, a dangerous creature…
Ludovigo decided to remain on this chair until someone would tell him to go. He was not getting out of here today. After a while, feeling safe here, he calmed down and began to fall asleep.

Retreating to the shadows Michael wonders about that cutpurse that tried to steal his items. Not like he has anything good in possession. But he only had his rapier and the clothes on his back.
"I should find a place to sleep..." Michael says as his body feels weak due to the sun. Jovanna follows Michael and she has a smile on her face as Michael picks his body up from the pain he is in.
"Don't overdue it Michael. Your very weak in the sun." Jovanna says as she comforts the vampire. She harbors the same friendship she carried when she was alive. "I guess you should find that place to sleep. The sun is very bright today Michael." The girl says to the dark haired vampire.

Talim smiled in delight as Pyrrha snuggled against her and looked at the flowers swaying in the breeze. Her friend's garden was truly beautiful... and she was especially in love with the large white lilies that let out a sweet and light fragrance. Petting Pyrrha on the head, Talim replied, "From now on, you'll see many more beautiful things in this world Pyrrha. I promise you, I will find your mother and heal you." They sat there on the garden swing and enjoyed the early sunshine of the bright sun and Talim closed her eyes in contentment. She treasured these simple but peaceful moments with all her heart, especially since she knew how fragile they can be so she did not want to take them for granted. After awhile, a maid came and said humbly, "Mi'lady. It's time for breakfast. The food has been prepared and the master wants a word with you. Apparently, three of your friends have left. The one named Ray and the other one named Jan and lastly, the girl with the wound on her back. Oh, and that strange green giant is resting well in one of the spare bedroom but we're hesitant on what we should do with him." Talim was dismayed to hear that Nightmare and Amy had disappeared. "Did my friend send anyone out to look for them?" "Yes. We're currently searching around the city." With a tired nod, Talim picked up Pyrrha and said, "We'll go and look for them after breakfast and I'll get you a new outfit sweetie." As they headed back to the grand manor, Talim looked up at the sky and whispered, "Wind... guide me." Pyrrha smiled up at Talim; she was glad fate had thrown them together. She'd thought the girl seemed kind when she'd been watching her before, and she was relieved to find she'd been right. She was making a lot of new friends lately. She hoped that Tira would get along with them too, once she caught up with them. The child had never been away from Tira very long before, and she was starting to miss her guardian...but she was safe. She had her big sister Amy with her, a friend in Talim, and soon they'd find her mother and she wouldn't be sick anymore, or so she was told. Really, Pyrrha told herself, all that was missing was Tira, and she didn't need to worry about Tira; she'd always find her eventually. Pyrrha's face clouded a little as the maid joined them, bringing news; most of it went over Pyrrha's head, but parts of her made connections, and worry blossomed in her stomach. A girl with a wounded back...was that Amy? Was her sister in danger? And the green giant...no, surely that evil giant that had hurt Tira was dead, wasn't it? Pyrrha looked up at Talim, and was not reassured by the worry in her features; say what you like about Tira's moods, she was never worried about anything. Pyrrha held on to Talim as she picked her up again, looking imploringly up at the young priestess. "I-Is Amy all right, Miss Talim?" She asked in a small voice. She hadn't seen the girl she'd started to think of as her sister since they'd fled the castle, and the idea that Amy might be in trouble prevented Pyrrha from thinking about something as pleasant as changing her increasingly dingy outfit.

I-Is Amy all right, Miss Talim?
Talim pat her on the back as she carried her into the house. "Don't worry, she's fine. She just left to get some fresh air like we did sweetheart." The priestess smiled at Pyrrha reassuringly. They came into the grand dining room and there Francesco greeted them in his usual boisterous manner.
"Darling! You look so well today!"
Talim thanked him politely before saying, "Do you think you can send someone to get new clothes for Pyrrha? Hers are all worn and she needs a bath. I can take care of that part but I need to get her new clothes."
He laughed and exclaimed, "Oh but of course! Give me about half an hour and you'll get the dress for the little one."
Thanking him, Talim also added, "I would like to see Astaroth, the green giant and see how he's doing." When her friend reluctantly agreed, he pointed her upstairs. Talim turned to Pyrrha and gently put her down on the chair. She didn't want Pyrrha to see Astaroth so soon, it might frighten her. "Pyrrha, I'll go and check up on Astaroth and then I'll come right back here for you. Eat your breakfast in the meantime." Talim grabbed a plate of warm porridge with herbs and a hot bun and put it in front of her. She gave Pyrrha another smile before heading upstairs.
Before she went to Astaroth's room, she found her pet bird who was dutifully waiting for her as it laid on the pillow. Relieved to see that it was alright, she opened her arms and her bird deftly flapped into her arms with a cheerful chirp. She laughed in delight. "Good to see you've recovered so quickly." Alun chirped and snuggled in her arms. Talim pet it on the head before saying, "Go downstairs and play with the little girl eating her breakfast for me."
Talim watched as her bird did as it was told and flew off. Heading to Astaroth's room, she hurried to her friend's side. He was so big, that his legs dangled halfway off the bed under the thick black blanket. She put a hand on his forehead and noted that it was normal. Worriedly, she whispered, "Astaroth, how long will you be asleep? Is the wound that deep?" Bowing her head, she said sadly, "I'm so sorry I couldn't do more for you... my friend."
Downstairs, Alun chirped as it flapped its wings and landed on the table in front of the little blonde girl. Francesco chuckled. "Ah! Talim's poca ave! You want breakfast as well?

Viola gazed at him without a word as he came to her and handed her her bonnet. He was handsome, from as near as they were, Viola noticed his blue eyes were beautiful… His gaze was gentle… Somehow she felt shy and she felt her cheeks blushing but she tried to remain with a neutral look as she took her bonnet. She waited for him to speak; she would not tell him who she was and what was her problem… maybe he would know and explain to her…
"No need to be afraid. I'm one of you."
Viola kept staring at him. He was presenting himself, so they did not know each other already… And… one of you… one of what? She wondered if she should let him know of her ignorance or try to hide it. Was he part of the abductors? No, he was not… He was not evil, she could see it in his eyes… He was special to her since she saw him at least twice in her orb… Probably someone helping her… One of you because of the white hair probably… Trying to not look too ignorant and confused, she only asked him :
"Merci. What is your name?" Since he didn’t know her, he wouldn’t think she was anmesiac and didn’t remember him… They didn’t know each other, it was normal to ask…

Zwei arched an eyebrow as the girl seemed alittle hesitant and shy around him. But he supposed that was normal. After all, the malfested were hated and despised so it was hard to trust others. She might not believe that he was telling her the truth when he said he was just like her. He smiled briefly as she asked for his name.
"Merci. What is your name?"
Interesting, so she was of French origin then? How did she get all the way here to Venice? For now, Zwei pushed away the question and replied lightly, "You may call me Z.W.E.I." When she gave him a questioning look at his strange name, he grinned and put a hand on his hip. "It means two in German. Now, how about giving me your name in return."[avatar]http://oi48.tinypic.com/34pfl1h.jpg[/avatar]

Yet even if he was feeling asleep, Ludovigo still worried about his friends. And he would never feel safe now as he would go around his native city while this vampire was here.
As time went by, he became more angry toward himself for acting so cowardly and toward the vampire for scaring him. That vampire did take him by surprise… Maybe he should take care of him… He had a magic sword for God’s sake! He could take care of a vampire!
But first, he had to take some precautions: After writing a letter to his boss telling him to beware of a vampire in the streets of Venice, telling him how and where he met him and that he would go kill the vampire, he put the letter on Dampierre’s personnal desk and went to the church to see the priest. He had to get some crucifix and Holy water.
So after some lecturing from the priest saying that he never comes to the church and should, Ludovigo promised he would come more often and to prove his good will, bought a crucifix and Holy water after pretending to silently recite some Hail Mary, like the priest asked for his punishment, since he didn’t remember the words of this prayer.
Yet once outside the church, his resolve began to fade. Maybe it was stupid to see that vampire… Yet it was still day the vampire would be weak… but he would also be hidden and maybe even be gone from the city… But if he let the vampire alive, won’t it create even more vampires? But why act so heroic? The guards should do it… Yet the guards never did anything good in their life… Only annoying the people trying to make a living… And the fame he would get by killing a vampire… Ludovigo vampire slayer of the broken demonic sword… or Ludovigo of the broken demonic sword the vampire slayer? The vampire slayer Ludovigo of the demonic sword?
After all his dilemma, Ludovigo decided to go back where he met the vampire. If the monster was there, he would fight it and if not, he would go back to the Dampierre & co. Mansion. While going back to the place he saw the vampire, he bought some garlic that he put aroung his neck. Once before the backstreet, he quickly glanced at it to see if anything was moving in it and holding his sword in front of him and the crucifix in his other hand, he nervously went into the backstreet still wondering if he was making a mistake.

The vampire holds his body up as the sun is getting to his body. He felt so much pain at that moment.
"Its too unbearable.. I can't take it.." Michael says as he keeps dragging his hurt body away from the sun.
Jovanna looks at her old friend and frowns in despair. She would help him find a place to lock himself for the time.
"Michael. To the house on your right.." The spectral girl says as she points Michael to a small house that has been forgotten.
Seeing the house Michael quickly goes in and shuts the door. His body is in so much pain he sits on the little chair he sees and sighs. Why must he have this damn curse?

A tiny soft hand was placed on the lumbering giant's forehead as innocent whispers were heard. "I'm sorry i couldn't do more for you...my friend." The monster slowly stirred back to life. He took a deep breath and grumbled with his eyes still closed. " What.....happened...."

Before Talim could reply as Rock entered, she gasped as Astaroth woke up. When he weakly mumbled what happened, she quickly explained that he was severely injured during that battle where she tried to stop him. After all this time, he was deeply asleep. Giving the golem her brightest smile, she said, "I'm glad you're awake now Astaroth. We're currently at one of my friend's home and for now, everyone is just resting up. Wait here, I'll bring you breakfast."
But then Talim remembered Rock who was standing right behind her and she nervously said, "Ummm... this is Rock." Next she looked at Rock and said, "And I'm sure you know this is Astaroth." Waiting nervously, she wondered what the two giants were going to say to each other.

"You may call me Z.W.E.I. It means two in German. Now, how about giving me your name in return."
Viola thought : Why did your parents called you two? Maybe you’re the second born… It could make sense… Yet she did not ask the question since it would imply he can ask her many questions as well… Even if he looked kind, she didn't really know him… or those 'one of you'…
"My name is Viola."
She would now use that name since she didn't remember her old one and beside it may confuse her abductors if they really existed.
"So you are German? I am going in Germany. Which direction must I take for it?"
Since people were speaking Italian here and with the many canals, she assumed she may be in Venice so it would be north but maybe he knew it more than her… Maybe he knew some particular road to take…

"My name is Viola."
Zwei smiled. "Pretty name you've got there. If I must tell you, violet is my favorite color and your name means purple." He leaned back against some wooden railing of the dock and idly glanced at the package in her hand before her words caught his attention once more.
"So you are German? I am going in Germany. Which direction must I take for it?"
"That's a pretty long way from here," he replied crisply. He ran a hand through his black and white hair, giving the small woman a slightly worried look. "To be honest, hanging with me isn't the best idea. Troubles tend to flock to me for some weird reason." Zwei stood up straight and patted to the sword on his side. "I can point you in the right direction but I think you should travel alittle more prepared. So here..." Snapping off the metal wolf symbol on his belt, he lazily chucked it at her. "That's pure silver. It'll fetch a nice price for you Viola."
Reaching into the pouch strapped to his right thigh, he took out a crumpled piece of paper and unrolled it. His brows furrowed as he read the map and began pointing. "Head north the entire way and go pass Austria. You'll hit Germany in a few days afterwards but you should be wary of the bandits and brigands so I suggest sticking to the main roads. But avoid these places, hate for the malfested are high." He pointed to some large cities before folding the map and putting it in her hands. "Well, with the money my silver wolf will fetch you and this map, you should be fine. Good luck Viola."
With a lazy wave of his hand, he began to head off.
The woman didn't seem like a bad person and the aura around her wasn't very dark. He was only alittle worried about the long journey she had to take if she headed to Germany.[avatar]http://oi48.tinypic.com/34pfl1h.jpg[/avatar]

After looking around for a while Ludovigo, whose back was normally bent like many people too tall and slim, stood up in all his height and proudly said as he put the flat of his sword upon his shoulder:
"Well the vampire is scared of me. I can go proudly back home now."
In fact, he was relieved of not finding the vampire. The monster gave him quite a scare and he still had marks on his arm made by the vampire’s hand… The vampire grabbed him quite strongly… He said he would sever his arm but with his grip, he could have teared it as well…
But Ludovigo thought he would now be prepared, mostly at night… For now, he saved his honour by coming back. Saved his honour only in his eyes but who cares… Anyway, he probably won’t find the vampire for now, it was daylight… So he began to walk back to the Dampierre & co.’s mansion.

"Who knew it would be a hassel just to travel in daylight. Only if I knew something that could help me walk in that inferno known as the sun." The paled skin vampire mutters as he leans back on the chair and removes the wide brimmed hat and he fixed his wavy hair that was sweating under the hat.
Jovanna looks at the vampire and frowns. She was a ghost. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know of any revival methods. Maybe Michael knows one or two.
"Michael.. Can I ask you a question?" The spectral girl asks while leaning towards Michael's tired face.
The vampire looks up and sees the light skinned girl's beautiful features. She did look a little older. Maybe it was just him thinking of her with a older body.
"Ask away... I am a bit tired.. I hate waking up in the mornings.." Michael mutters as he holds on to his waking moments with the dead girl.
"D-Do you know of any revival magic? I know its strange since you know. You ARE a vampire. Vampires are supernatural beings. So I thought it would be part of their magic to revive dead bodies or souls?" The ebony haired girl asks in a quick but soothing voice.
Michael blinks twice in what the girl said to him. Revival? Was that really part of vampiric magic? Impossible the vampire thought. But he wants to be with Jovanna. So he will begin looking.
"I think I can find something on raising the dead. Of course.. It will break some rules about the laws of life." Michael says to the dark haired girl. His red eyes are filled with passion that he will have his love back.
