Astaroth immediately recognized the strange visitors as what they truly were. "Are you aware that you just let two of the most dangerous creatures enter the house?.....then again.... I don't exactly have room to talk....NEVERMIND, WHAT IS YOUR PLAN CREATURES?!!" Astaroth raised a giant hand pointing a finger at the both of them. ----------------------------------------------
Dampierre shook his head in disapointment. "No no no Ludvigo. Look at him! He is clearly no fool, he saw us when we were talking a moment ago." Dampierre takes off his hat revealing his slicked back comely brown hair. "My name sir is Lord Geo Dampierre, and my friend Ludvigo and I are going to treat your wounds and give you a resting place." Dampierre gestures Ludvigo to position the mans right arm over his shoulder. Dampierre does the same to the left. "Ok Ludvigo, lets go home."

"Are you aware that you just let two of the most dangerous creatures enter the house?.....then again.... I don't exactly have room to talk....NEVERMIND, WHAT IS YOUR PLAN CREATURES?!!" Astaroth raised a giant hand pointing a finger at the both of them.
Zwei laughed. "Yea, considering the fact that you're a six feet giant with a heart beating outside his chest, you really don't have room to talk." Zwei yawned and stretched. "My only plan is to have a nice hot meal comprised of german sausages, a warm bed and the right to kick some ass-"
"Ahem." Talim coughed in disapproval.
Zwei stopped and said, "Uhh... I'll have that hot meal now, if that's ok, Francesco." He sighed in relief when the rich man chuckled and motioned for some servants to lead him to the grand dining room.
Talim shook her head and said, "Don't worry, Astaroth. The wind tells me that Ceasre Vicichi isn't a bad person." She smiled at the vampire before continuing. "And Zwei is a good boy. You have nothing to worry about." She shifted Pyrrha in her arms. "I think it's time for her to go to bed. Excuse me for a moment, friends."
"Wait." Francesco gestured to Talim, Astaroth and the elegant rapier wielder. "I know it's a bit rude of me to ask this but... I need your help for something." Seeing Talim's look of puzzlement, he sighed. "My combatants haven't been doing well at the Phantom Pavilion. I sort of have a debt... that I-"
Talim's eyes widened. "Francesco! Why are you still participating in such vile sports? You promised me you would only do it until you have enough money to care for yourself."
"Talim dear, it's a form of entertainment. Things have improved over the years," Francesco said reassuringly.
"It wasn't very entertaining when I was nearly eaten by three lizards three years ago," Talim said stiffly.
"Look, I'll explain but just take the child to bed first," he said tiredly. When the green hair priestess shook her head and walked off with stiff shoulders, he motioned for the two men. "Would you two gentleman like a brief rest or something, before I discuss this matter with you? You are free to decline of course... but I really do need assistance."

Dampierre shook his head in disapointment. "No no no Ludvigo. Look at him! He is clearly no fool, he saw us when we were talking a moment ago."
Ludovigo got embarrassed : he had tried to hide their tie and he had failed miserably… now looking like a liar. Then he wanted to explain why he said that. So as he put Ray’s right arm over his shoulder, he told him :
"You know, huh… Yeah, Lord Dampierre is right. He pretended to be Van Hellsing so that he could scare the monsters away but like he just told you, he is not really Van Hellsing. And I… I didn’t know how to say that I knew him because everybody mistaked me for a thief in the backstreet…"
Then, still bitter over the conclusion the vampire reached, even if he wasn’t far from the truth, Ludovigo was indeed a thief but he first didn’t intend to steal from Michael, the blond thief continued on a slightly angry tone.
"I’m not, that vampire was paranoid and imagined things! I only tried to see if he was alright! … Until I realized what he was… something worst than a thief…"
Then forgetting about his grudge he continued on a more normal tone.
"But since everybody labelled me as a thief, I didn’t want to give Lord Dampierre a bad reputation… He is one of the city’s most renowned benefactors! He helped me when I was in the streets, when I was a thief, because I have been a thief but that was long ago… and he gave me a job… and… now I’m honest and… huh…"
Feeling he may be only worsening the case with that stupid speech, Ludovigo then shut up. He continued helping RayLeonardo, hoping the man was too tired to care about his clumsy explanations.
Looking at the afro haired man, he wondered why he was in such a bad shape. Was it the lack of his diamond? Did he need it to live? Was he victim from some curse with that gem? He did try to kill himself… well, didn’t mind that the vampire would kill him, which was almost the same thing… He was in a really bad state, physically and mentally… Looking concerned, the blond thief then told RayLeonardo :
"Don’t worry, you’ll be fine soon… Do you think you feel bad because you lost your diamond? Do you need it to live?"
Ludovigo looked at his boss with some worry and questionning. He didn’t know what to do if it implied such magic… Apart from taking back the gem of course, which was probably their intention anyway but would RayLeonardo be able to hang on until then? He seemed so weak… He then adressed his boss.
"Do you think the monsters really fled? I don’t really like the fact that some vampire is still roaming around in my native city… He’s a danger, he could kill anyone… a real serial killer… And, huh… will we do something more?"
The blond thief thought that the werewolf seemed like a good person but since he was the one with the gem, unfortunately they would probably mostly go after him… yet the vampire was disturbing… He did spare RayLeonardo for some honour reason but he hated thieves… So it could only be war between them…

"Così si pensa che da quando si è un gigante con un cuore pulsante dal petto si arriva a cazzo di me un mostro chiamare? Shut up before I actually have to draw my rapier-"
"Ahem." Talim coughed in disapproval.
"Mi dispiace." The vampire said to Talim with a bow. Then Zwei asked for food since he was hungry. Michael just needed blood. But.. He can't exactly ask for the crimson nectar. He has to obtain it. Then Michael heard Talim say to the oversized giant. "Don't worry, Astaroth. The wind tells me that Ceasre Vicichi isn't a bad person." Michael only sent a quick smile towards the golem and Talim and then the wind priestess takes the little blond Greek to bed until that man named Francesco stopped them.
I sort of have a debt... that I-"
"Phantom Pavilion? I stopped by there some time ago. I think it was filled with-" Michael's words were cut short by Talim and Francesco.
The vampire sighs. "Lucertole niente." But then he heard Francesco speak up again.
"I need no rest. I am just a warrior without needing sleep." The vampire states to himself but then he feels a cold shiver. As if a ghost was standing behind him. "Oh dear.." The vampire said to himself. The ghostly figure, Jovanna wanted to slap Michael for what he said about sleeping. But she can she risk exposing herself to everyone?

"My name sir is Lord Geo Dampierre, and my friend Ludvigo and I are going to treat your wounds and give you a resting place."
"Dampierre?"
The name was familiar to Rayleonardo, hearing tales from his travels, not many though because of his legendary cunning, and thus covered most of his tracks.
"Well thank you, I suppose."
The blonde haired man helped up RayLeonardo, and the young man was happy to accept the help.
He was still tired and it was hard to stay conscious, he could barely hear the blonde man speaking, his vision was blurry. He was starting to think that it wasn't simple exhaustion that was the problem, he was sure now that it had to do with his encounter with the dark god, either physically or mentally, it was putting stress on him. Lost without his signature weapon was one thing, but his condition as well, he wouldn't stand a chance against any enemy. All he could do was keep conscious and walk, until the blonde man could get him to safety.

Francesco quirked an eyebrow in puzzlement. "Is something wrong, sir Vicichi? You don't look too well, are you sure you don't want to rest or have something to eat?"
He thought the rapier wielder looked alittle too pale and was alittle worried. With a gesture, he said, "Perhaps we can discuss the matters over a glass of my wine or brandy at the dining table."
Leading the way through the red hallways with its elegant dark carpeting and painting, they arrived at the dining room where Zwei was happily wolfing down his food. The candles on the chandelier shone down on the sparkling silverware and dark table that was slightly speckled with spilled soup and bread crumbs.
The white and black hair man tore off another big bite from the bread he had in his hand and thickly swallowed when he saw them coming. With his stomach mostly satisfied, he grinned. "Thanks Francesco, I haven't eatten like this in a very long time."
The rich man chuckled. "No worries, I'm glad you enjoyed the fine dining I have to offer."
Zwei moved on to the plate of roasted chicken breast seasoned with herb and sauce and beamed. "That's very generous of you. Thanks." While Francesco and Ceasre sat down to partake in the wine, he continued wolfing down his food.
"Excuse me," Talim said quietly as she arrived with a small smile and she also sat down at the table beside Zwei. Her bird hopped onto the table and pecked at the plate
Zwei grinned and said, "It's chicken."
Alun immediately squawked and rush away from the plate in a rush of white feathers.
Talim shook her head and sighed before turning back to Francesco and Ceasre. "My friend, your matter is... important to hear. But first, I would like to ask-"
"No worries, I'll ask." Zwei wiped his mouth and waved his hand for a maid. "Can I get some more garlic soup?" When the maid politely nodded, he said, "Talim, you eat. I can hear your stomach rumble." Before she could protest, the maid came back with the steaming bowl and he quickly said to Ceasre, "So, what are you, why did you come to Venice, who was that spirit that was with you, and what do you want to do here?"
Talim was shocked at his impoliteness. "Zwei!"
Zwei was not abashed. "Talim, it's better to get to the point. Otherwise we'll be up all night." He folded his hands together and rested his chin on them, his blue eyes solemn. "And who was that man with the cursed diamond? Why were you with him? You'll have to forgive me for being blunt, but I have a keen nose when it comes to smelling trouble." The trio went where Dampierre Co. was located. Now that Dampierre told the truth to RayLeonardo, no need to be discret about it, Dampierre indeed had a nice cover under some respectable business here even if he was doing a lot of crimes in the city as well as in many other countries.
Once inside they took the almost unsconscious man to a nice bedroom after asking some maid to get some food for RayLeonardo. Helping the weakened man into bed, Ludovigo asked him :
"Are you hungry or thirsty? I asked the maid to get you some food… But if you’re too tired to eat… you can rest… and eat later…"
Looking at the half conscious man, Ludovigo wondered : Was it really useful to speak to him? That man seemed so distant, lost… so weak and tired… He probably wasn’t listening to a word of what he was saying… Because of that strange tiredness… What was it? Really some curse because he would not have his magical gem anymore or just some plain illness?
Maybe some serious plain illness… Like some plague… Ludovigo remembered the plague that hit Venice many years ago, so many people died… His father and him had fallen ill, his father died in jail some times later while Ludovigo survived but it was what gave him his pale and sickly look…
Ludovigo backed away from the bed, suddenly scared to catch some contagious illness. But he already have been in close contact with the man since he brought him here… He probably already caught it… If there was something to catch and if the man had some illness… But maybe they should call a doctor, just in case…
Yet the blond thief had the feeling it was more because of the evil diamond that the man was weak… It probably wasn’t a normal illness… It was magical… The man had really feel sick just after his diamond disappeared with the wolf creature…
So Ludovigo probably didn’t need to fear some plague or anything… Yet it was worrying… What was that guy having? Will he die here? Or will he get better? They really had to take that diamond back… but to give it to the sick man or to keep it?
If it was to have such effects, Ludovigo wasn’t certain he wanted that gem anymore… He already had an evil sword but he didn’t felt anything bad about it… It only slightly glowed last time, near the vampire, the werewolf and the diamond itself… But it was nothing really dangerous for him… But the diamond seemed more dangerous… yet the case seemed most intriguing and interesting… even if scary.
Ludovigo also thought that probably his boss would want it anyway so he might as well prepare to steal the diamond back… But for now he came back toward the half unconscious man once more and continued speaking to him.
"Do you need anything? I bet you need your diamond, right? …What’s your name?"
Looking at RayLeonardo, he waited for some answer.

"Is something wrong, sir Vicichi? You don't look too well, are you sure you don't want to rest or have something to eat?"
"Non preoccuparti per me, signore. I am just a sell sword. Nothing more."
He thought the rapier wielder looked alittle too pale and was alittle worried. With a gesture, he said, "Perhaps we can discuss the matters over a glass of my wine or brandy at the dining table."
"Vino prego. Io non sono una persona brandy, non va bene per il mio stomaco. Thank you anyway sir."
Leading the way through the red hallways with its elegant dark carpeting and painting, they arrived at the dining room where Zwei was happily wolfing down his food. "Che cosa?" Were all what Michael said. He didn't know that Zwei saw Jovanna while during the skirmish they had.
Zwei was not abashed. "Talim, it's better to get to the point. Otherwise we'll be up all night." He folded his hands together and rested his chin on them, his blue eyes solemn. "And who was that man with the cursed diamond? Why were you with him? You'll have to forgive me for being blunt, but I have a keen nose when it comes to smelling trouble."
Michael only sighs. "Listen. You will not get your answers about the ghost. But I am in Venice since of childhood memories of her. But that man with the diamond I know nothing about. So back off dannato cane." The vampire grabs a bottle of wine and drinks a little bit. But he knows he can't get drunk.

Half-conscious, the young spearman RayLeonardo could feel the tug of fatique weigh upon him. He finally realized it was the lack of the Diamond shard somehow. He had yet to figure out why, but ever since it was taken he found it harder and harder to stand, his vision was much more blurry and his heart kept aching. It was more like a withdrawal then a sickness, as if the diamond had something to do with "curse" the evil god spoke to him about.
After what seemed like a century, the young man found himself lying on silk sheets with his head rested on the cool welcome of a large soft pillow.
"Are you hungry or thirsty? I asked the maid to get you some food… But if you’re too tired to eat… you can rest… and eat later…"
The blonde man said.
"I think...I'll just sleep."
"Do you need anything? I bet you need your diamond, right? …What’s your name?"
RayLeonardo grew more concerned with this man's intrest in the diamond, and decided to withhold anything about it until he was fully recovered. His name he would oblige, but he didn't know which name to give him. When he started on his journey, he replaced his title with that of his fathers last name: RayLeonardo Amen Rukh. However, after everything he figured out, he was unsure if he wanted the cursed name.
"RayLeonardo...of the Sarosi Hungarian Family."
After those words he fell asleep.

So back off dannato cane." The vampire grabs a bottle of wine and drinks a little bit. But he knows he can't get drunk.
Zwei immediately let out a loud barking laugh, knowing what the man had called him. Reaching out for his goblet, he took a drink from it before flinging it in the rapier wielder's direction. The liquid quickly splashed him from head to toe and Zwei cooly, "Call me that again, and you'll have yourself a duel."
"Zwei!" Talim got up on her feet and hurriedly apologized before reprimanding him. "Zwei! I taught you better than this."
"He called me a damn dog!" Zwei protested.
Talim grabbed onto his hands and shook her head. "People call me a witch. But have you seen me react the way you just did?"
"I..." Zwei looked down at the ground in shame. He had let his anger get the best of him. Talim had worked hard in teaching him to control his emotions since it was dangerous of him to lose control, as well as being a moral person. And now he had completely disappointed her. "I'm sorry, teacher."
Talim's expression softened as she reached up and smoothed out his hair. Gently, she said, "Go to bed, Zwei. It's been a long day." She glanced over at Francesco who quickly waved for a servant to escort Zwei to his room. When they left, she turned to Vicichi and said, "I apologize for his behaviors. But know that... I'm not too entirely caring about your situation." She gestured to his soaked clothes. "I'm sorry, but please refrain from tempting my student. He's a child, despite the fact that he looks grown up. His real age is 10."
She could see the surprise that flickered over everyone's faces and she nodded. "The taint of Soul Edge in him aged his body and mind. That, and the experiences he's been through. This is all I'll say, for the rest are his secrets." Talim pet Alun on the head as it hopped onto her shoulder. "It's best to talk later. For the spirit with you... I can sense the wind around her and you. It's unwise for her to cling to the human world like this. I would like to help you and her..." But then she grew worried. "But first, you said there was a man with a diamond? What are you talking about, mister Vicichi?"

Sarosi Hungarian Family… That looked like some important family thought the blond thief. They really had someone of importance here… If not for the diamond, they could always ask some ransom for this man to his probably powerful family…
RayLeonardo didn’t look Hungarian with his afro hair and light brown skin but then the late duke of Florence Alessandro de' Medici was half black by his mother and he was in one of the most renowned Italian family and Ludovigo himself didn’t look completely Italian with his blond hair. The thief always thought he probably had ancestors from the north even if he didn’t know them...
Even if the money was really appealing with some ransom or the diamond, Ludovigo kept thinking about what the diamond seems to really be… some kind of curse… a cursed artefact… Ludovigo was still traumatized of his meeting with the vampire… With the vampire around, it seems a curse was about to fall down on the city… Everybody knew vampires were often heralding plague… and that guy lying down on the bed was half dead… because of a cursed artefact… Something was going on… The werewolf was right… the diamond was dangerous… But it was strange that this werewolf seemed like a nice guy… it would be strange that a werewolf would come to save Venice from the plague… even if he looked nice, maybe he was bad as well and only on another side than the vampire…
Half caught between his fear of some plague or curse on the city and his attraction to money and the diamond, Ludovigo didn’t know what to do. Dampierre left for a while since he was so busy with so many things and he didn’t say what they would do or if he would come back. He may have decided to leave RayLeonardo’s case in Ludovigo’s hands even if he didn’t implicitly said it… His lieutenants sometimes inherited of some cases… Though among Dampierre’s three lieutenants, Ludovigo felt he was the least qualified for decision making…
He wondered : Should they keep going after the diamond and once they caught it they would just have to pay someone to remove the curse on it? That could an option... Because to throw away such a big diamond like it was junk was kind of crazy… But then maybe it was crazy to play with dangerous things like this… and plagues and curses and all... But he already stole an evil sword... he could do it again...
Ludovigo wondered if he should go back and look for the vampire or the werewolf to get more answers. Yet maybe what was about to happen was too big for him like the werewolf told him and that he should only care about small things… like taking care of that guy, getting his diamond or some reward… Dampierre was probably thinking about this right now and not about some stupid plague or curse… His boss always knew where the priorities were…
If there was a plague or vampire curse, what could they do? But they could always work for themselve and make money… It was not their job to save the city, the city doge, the autorities and clergy were taking people’s money for it, so it was their job…
Ludovigo went to the window to open it and make some good air for the sick Hungarian. If it was some plague, to get some fresh air was always a good thing. Looking outside, the thief wondered if the beautiful city of Venice would soon fall for another plague. For now it was a nice day, birds were gliding in the sky, people were walking without worries in the streets as the church bells were ringing for the mass… It seemed like a really nice day, not the day for some plague to invade the city.
Ludovigo remembered he had promised the priest to go to church after he bought him some holy water and things against the vampire. And now the mass was beginning… He’ll go next time, now he had to watch over that Hungarian nobleman… But he made a silent prayer to San Marco, asking the protector of the city to watch over Venice against plague and vampires… and maybe werewolves.
Then he left the window and as he walked beside RayLeonardo’s bed, he told him :
"Sleep well signor Sarosi. I'll be in the next room if you need anything."
And he went outside the room to go eat something in the salon beside, letting RayLeonardo quietly sleep.

"I understand madona. He does act like a child. But my clothes can be washed. No worries." Michael calmly replies to her while keeping his voice down.

Michael only looks at Talim with a feared look. Losing Jovanna again? That isn't the first thing he wants. But he rubs his eyes. "Well.. I needed sleep. So I decided to lay down in the house me and your student fought. But that man wandered around and I tried to kill him. But..." Michael pauses for a second. "He had honor to die. So I respected that and spared him. Yet your student came around and tried to slash me with Holy water on his blade."

RayLeonardo was expired, but couldnt sleep soundly. He kept hearing the screams of Claire, and the abyssal voice of the Egyptian god that defeated him with but a whim. He could feel a phantom pain of cutting blades surging through his nerves. Sleep was like a realm of dread now, rather than respite. He wanted to wake up, but he was too tired to even do that. All he knew was that it was a nightmare that wouldnt end unless he found a way to stop the egyptian god. Until then it was nothing but bitter sleep.
If Talim was with him, she might be able to heal him, but the thought of facing her was more painful than 1'000 of these hellish nightmares. He couldn't bare the shame of looking his previous allies in the eye. Especially...Gerhilde.
She was right about his stare. How it disgusted her, he now realized she had a reason for feeling that way. It was what was in his soul.
Lust...Envy...Clingy...Dependency...and Obsession.
"I must atone....but I can only do that by living."
He now realized that in order to atone,he must now live with that burden...and also...
"Take down that bastard god!"

"Well.. I needed sleep. So I decided to lay down in the house me and your student fought. But that man wandered around and I tried to kill him. But..." Michael pauses for a second. "He had honor to die. So I respected that and spared him. Yet your student came around and tried to slash me with Holy water on his blade."
Talim tilted her head and frowned. "You tried to kill the man with the diamond?" She read the wind around him and blinked once, before nodding to herself. "I see, Zwei would have noticed that you were not human and been wary of you." She kept to herself about another thought, pondering on whether the man with the diamond... could it be Ray?
She listened to the wind howling outside the window and her eyes widened slightly. "Something's coming..."
Francesco didn't hear her, as her voice had been too quiet. Instead, he clapped his hand and said merrily, "Well, it looks like everyone is getting tired. Mister Vicichi, how about one of my servants escort you to your room-"
"Stay still," Talim said quickly. She looked around and swallowed thickly, noting that the air felt like it was growing heavy. Clasping her hands together, she murmured words to her deity and said, "No one is to leave this house. It's dangerous out there." Unbeknownst to her, Zwei had already left.
It was probably quite stupid of him to leave the house, especially since the people of the city were already on edge and out looking for him. But he didn't want to stay inside the mansion and deal with anyone right now. He was also slightly ashamed that he had let his emotions get the better of him. He needed to be alone for abit and get some fresh air.
Leaving the city, he took shelter amongst the quiet wood that bordered the edge of the city. Adjusting his dark fur lined gloves, he peered down at the bright city. Despite the fact that it was so late, the lights were still on... His ocean blue eyes closed and he stood there in silence, letting the wind ruffle his hair and refresh him. But afterwhile, he picked up a strange scent. His nose twitched slightly before his eyes opened and he warily reached for his sword. [avatar]http://oi48.tinypic.com/34pfl1h.jpg[/avatar]

Ludovigo ate some meal in the room next to RayLeonardo’s bedroom. Then after that, he went to see RayLeonardo again. The Hungarian seemed deeply troubled in his sleep and Ludovigo wondered why. He thought that really that diamond has something to do with it, because of the diamond itself that would have corrupted RayLeonardo or the fact Ray was deprived of it. Yet he didn’t know what to do. He stared at the afro man with some embarassement until he put his hand on RayLeonardo’s shoulder and shook him gently.
"Signore Sarosi… You’re having a nightmare… Don’t think about anything… Just sleep. You’re safe here."
It was not really true since RayLeonardo was mostly a mean to make money, whatever the way, but the blond thief tried to sound as reassuring as possible.
