Its been a full year since the great battle of Ostrheinburg. The soul swords were presumed destroyed and the warriors who fought the battle had all but disappeared. Peace had finally been obtained and all was right with the world. In the small and humble village, not far from where the battle took place, an elderly woman walked silently on the road leading to the castle. She wore a tan tunic, which spilled down past her knees, and a light brown leather cloak.
"So peaceful..." the elderly woman said with a sigh as she continued on her current path.
Suddenly, something caught her eye! Off in the distance was a lone figure, staring up at the sky as if for the first time. The elderly woman cautiously made her way over to the lone figure. As she drew closer, she first noticed a head of fiery red hair, which was tossed about by the playful summer breeze that suddenly swept through the land. The next thing she noticed was the azure armor the figure was wearing.
"What a time to be wearing such armor." the old woman thought to herself.
The young man lazily moved his red eyed gaze over to the elderly pedestrian.
"Hm?" What's this?" the red haired youth inquired to no one in particular.
"Pathetic wretch! Ignore her and let us return to the castle to await the master!" a demonic voice demanded from within his own mind.
Nightmare ignored the voice,as usual, and watched as the elderly women made her way to him.
"Hello, young man. What are you doing all alone here?" the old woman asked.
The red haired knight stared blankly at the woman, then tilted his head slightly to one side. The old woman peered intently into the young man's red eyes and could see, beyond a shadow of a doubt, he was confused, disoriented.
"Ah, but where are my manners? My name is Yulie. Yulie Krammer." the old woman's introduction was accompanied by a warm smile.
"Yulie...Krammer..." the knight repeated, his confusion still apparent.
"You poor dear...Did you come from the castle?" Yulie pointed in the ruined castle's direction, thinking the young knight would understand better.
"And now she speaks to us as if we were an imbecile?! [glow=red,2,300][/glow]Destroy her!" the demonic voice was beside himself as his alter ego followed the elderly woman's finger to the castle.
"The castle? Yes." the Azure Knight replied as he returned his gaze to the old woman.
"You fought in that terrible battle one year ago, didn't you?" the red haired youth tilted his head at Yulie's inquiry.
As far as the old woman could tell, this young knight had lost his memory during the skirmish, then returned to reclaim what was lost.
"Well, ser Knight, if you've nowhere to return to, you can come home with me. It's just me and my granddaughter, Katrine, so we have more than enough room for you!" Yulie spoke as she took the knights hand in hers.
"Home...? Understood."
As the duo made their way into town, they were greeted by the warm smiles of the small hamlet's denizens. The village was humble yet beautiful with its redwood housing and large fountainof a beautiful woman in the middle of it all.
