Personality:
Cassandra is a high spirited young woman. She is also a happy go lucky much like any other young person. She is adventurous, daring and careless. When it comes to her manner of speaking, she doesn't hold back on any of her words especially when it comes to protecting her family. Many say that she is quite like her older sister, Sophitia in many ways. However, they are opposite in a lot of ways. Sophitia gets her strength from her belief in the Gods while Cassandra blames them for her family's misfortunes and relies on herself for strength. This gives her a unique toughness and single-minded perspective. Though she may be tough, she still has a soft side for her older sister, her niece and nephew. And who knows maybe she also has a sweet side for a man that will complete her life.
Background/History:
During most of her early years, Cassandra lived a simple life as a Baker's daughter. Most of the time, she spends her time with her older sister, Sophitia, doing stuff together. One day, her sister told them that Hephaestus ordered her to embark on a holy mission. She did not tell them how long will she be gone or where her calling will take her. The next day, she left. During her sister's absence, Cassandra grew more and more worried about her sister and continuously bugged her parents for any news from Sophitia. After a month or so, A woman covered in a red tight suit with oriental facial features came to their house, carrying a wounded Sophitia. Shocked by the state of her sister, Cassandra came running towards her with tears running down from her eyes. The woman explained to the her what happened to Sophitia. Whether believing her or not did not matter, what is important to her is Sophitia's well being. After laying Sophitia in her bed, which Cassandra told her where, the mysterious woman left.
The next day, Sophitia woke up and the first person she saw was Cassandra, who was at her side the whole time. She immediately told her sister about her adventures and about the mysterious woman. Cassandra believed everything her older sister said but when Sophitia told her story to her parents, they did not believed her. They thought that because of her wounds and her vision of Hephaestus, she became demented, chasing a mythical sword that doesn't even exist. After that event, Sophitia returned to living a normal life.
After three years had passed while the two sisters were shopping, another vision came to Sophitia about the cursed sword and eventually collapsed. The sudden change of events were to fast for Cassandra to react but just before Sophitia fell to the ground, a man caught her. His name was Rothion. The two fell in love at each other at first sight and eventually got married. Two years afterwards, Sophitia gave birth to daughter named Pyrrah and a year after, she gave birth again, this time to a son named Patroklos.
In a span of four years since Sophitia met Rothion, Cassandra was no longer a scrawny teenager. She was now a beautiful young woman. Her parents continuously urged her to get married just like what they did with Sophita at her age. This only made Cassandra irritated and refuse. During most of her time, Cassandra would always visit Sophitia and help her take care of the children. Sshe had grown a liking of the children ever since they were born.
One day, while the two sisters were talking at Sophitia's house, Rothion came home with a strange red, glowing metal at his hand. He said that a strange customer left it at his shop that day and didn't came back for it. As soon as he revealed it, the children quickly reacted to it, fighting to get a hold of the object and Sophitia's old wounds were throbbing once again. Seeing her sister and her children's reaction, Cassandra quickly grabbed the stone and ran away. She ventured towards the Eurydice Shrine to tell Hephaestus exactly what she is feeling. She blamed the God for everything that is happening to Sophitia's family and told him that he was worthless. She then saw the sword that Sophitia used from her adventures previously and decided to grab it, taking on the task of destroying the sword herself.
She ventured east and found a town corrupted by evil. Wanting to purify the town like her sister did, Cassandra tracked the source of it at a tower. But before she could go there, she noticed that her weapons have cracks in them. She then decided to go back home to Greece so that Rothion could repair them back to normal. Upon her arrival, Rothion told her that Sophitia had also left to destroy the sword. With new weapons at hand, Cassandra left to join her sister and destroy the sword once and for all.
On her way back to the town she previously visited, Cassandra was attacked by a man that had pale skin, flaming red eyes and was wielding a rapier. He said that he sensed that she was carrying a piece of the cursed sword and demanded to give it to him. The battle ended with Cassandra giving the man a critical blow. The man told her that she had the power to dispel evil but not as powerful as the Holy Stone. Cassandra became confused with what the man said. Suddenly the man moved out of her way with inhuman speed and reappeared behind her. Irritated, Cassandra challenged the strange man to fight again. The man however refused saying that he already had what he came for. Cassandra immediately checked her tunic for the shard but it was gone. When she turned her attention back to the man, he had also vanished.
Curious about what the man said, she decided to ask the villagers what they know about the holy stone. Fortunately, it seemed that the some of the villagers have gained their sanity back. Everybody of them had the same answer. They said that everything went back to normal when a man that had a mass of crystal with him passed by on his way to Ostrheinsburg. Cassandra thought about it for a while. She then decided to follow the man, hoping that the holy stone would bring her sister and her family back to normal.
At Osthreinsburg, Cassandra saw the man covered with crystals wielding a crystal like sword clashing swords with a knight plated with dark blue colred armor, wielding a massive flaming red sword from afar. She recognized the dark knight from Sophita's vision as the Azure Knight, Nightmare and the sword as Soul Edge, the one that Sophitia was suppose to destroy. For the first time, fear came to the young Athenian while she observed the strength and power that the two were demonstrating. She could not move her body, even though she badly wanted to help the knight in crystals. The battle ended with the knight covered with crystals triumphant and the two swords destroyed.
Seeing that the sword had been finally destroyed, Cassandra went back home, hoping that her sister had finally came back and tell her the good news. Upon arriving at Sophitia's house, she saw her older sister who immediately gave her a warm embrace, delighted to see her sister back home. But right that, Cassandra saw that her sister's smile vanished. Worried, she asked Sophitia what the problem was. She told her that Pyrrha has been abducted and could not find her anywhere. Upon hearing the problem, Cassandra immediately got depressed. Her beloved niece was missing and who knows what her captor was planning for her. Now, she devoted herself to helping her sister find her daughter.
