Hey, folks. You probably have noticed that I've been a bit more sparse.
Or, rather, two people probably noticed. Well, anyway!
A while back, my computer committed seppuku and I've been on this crappy one.
I'm not leaving by any stretch of the imagination, but by God is it sloooooooooooooow. Thus, my posts may take longer in between.
Terribly sorry for this, all. And Durante, thank you for your patience between this and my forgetfulness.
I still love you guys. Hugs n' kisses n' all that.

Ouch! Did you try defragmenting it and all that other jazz? (>*.*)?
But don't listen to suggestions online that recommend you to use Windows 8. It sucks.... >_>
Anyway, hope you get your computer up and running fast again =D

The instant I turned on my sister's laptop, it looks like her laptop just vomited a bunch of stuff at me. And from what I can see, only the start-up is faster and a few minor improvements. But other than that, I hate it. Windows 8 was made with a touch screen computer in mind. If you have one, then it works pretty well. If you don't, then it just doesn't work with the functions it's intended for. My friend wrote up a good long list of all the cons. If you need more, I'll grab it for you =)

Ouch! Did you try defragmenting it and all that other jazz? (>*.*)? Indeed! Unfortunately, the problem is more that this slow computer is literally 10 years old, still running XP. It's very ill-suited for anything more than (slow) browsing and playing Doom, but hey at least it works. Even a slow computer is better than no computer! And yeah, I'll definitely be trying my best to stay away from Windows 8. It's nice that they tried to appeal more to the mobile audience, but...not everyone is mobile. :\ |
