"Yea, do you have a forge somewhere on these grounds? My armor took quite a beating from the demon."
He lifts up his cuirass to show him all the scratches and dents the monster created on it.

The samurai looks at the scratches and dents.
"The nue have been quite rough with your armour... At least, it was the armour that took most of the the blows."
He then think for a while and said while showing a path in the wood:
"Take this road. Not far, you'll see the weaponsmith of the training ground. He mostly only repairs blades since he is young an inexperienced but he does have tools to work metal... The forge had belonged to his father but the father who was making swords got killed a month ago by the nue. The son would probably be happy to help you."

Durante looks towards the road he pointed out and nods back to him. "Thanks for the information. I'll be back later." He picks up his armor and starts walking down the path towards the weaponsmith. After a few minutes, he reaches the workshop and opens the door, letting himself inside. "Hello? Is anyone here? I'm hear to see if I can get my armor fixed." He thinks to himself, even if the weaponsmith here does not have the experience in western armors, he can ask to at least use the tools to do a patch up job himself.

After some times, a young man come by the back door. He got surprised when he noticed Durante's armour. He had expected a foreigner since the way Durante spoke with an accent but he had not expected this kind of armour. He looked embarrassed. "Hum... I... cannot fix this. Sorry. I don't know these kind of armour."

Durante expected this, especially given that it's a foreign land and he's asking about armor that's foreign to the smith. "That's all right. If you would be so kind, I would just like to use your equipment to repair this. I'll be willing to compensate you for any materials I use to repair my things."

The man seemed hesitant at first but then he accepted. "Okay, I accept. But where did you get it scratched like this?"

"A nue was attacking the people near the training grounds. I helped the samurai fight it off and this is the damage it caused to my armor." He then started to speak solemnly, "It's unfortunate many people were killed by the demon."

The young man’s face changed; he seemed surprised then angry and sad at the same time.
“A nue?” There is one always roaming around… It killed my father a month ago… and now many people…
The young man made a pause as he remembered his painful loss before he continued.
“Arigato for opposing the monster, you may take my tools as you wish. It is a pleasure to help someone who fought the demon… even if he will come back… He always will… I don’t think it can die… There is a clan of ninja thieves often fighting this monster around here. They help the villagers beside the samurais against many monsters that roam around. Because of the Sacred Mount Fuji, many magical creatures are lurking around."
He added after quickly glancing by some window:
“And even sometimes at night, just near the shop, I can hear a creature washing Azuki beans in the river…an Azukitogi. Sometimes I can heard it sing "azuki togou ka, hito totte kuou ka? shoki shoki." ("Will I grind my azuki beans, or will I get a person to eat? shoki shoki."). I saw it once, it was a small ugly creature with a bald head, wearing rags… I saw it only from behind but I would not approach it. They say he only pushes people down the water but with his song, I don’t trust him… But just to say, this place possesses much magic."

"I'm sorry about your father..." He listened to the smith's story and pondered about his story when he finished speaking. "That's... seems like a very unusual creature... I'll have to be on guard if I find it..." Before his mind drifts, he goes back to his original reason for coming here. "Oh yes, can you show me where you place your tools so I can start working?"

In a simple disguise, a fairly red kimono with white floral accents Taki slowly entered the blacksmith's shop. She went over the table and talked to the blacksmith, but as she make a conversation with the blacksmith, her black eyes slowly and stealthily drifted around the place with suspicion. She kept quiet, listening attentively to each sound and whispers she hears.

Taki looked intimidatingly at him but didn't mutter a word. She continues to talk at the blacksmith. No expression was drawn on her fair pretty face as her head tilted around the place.
